Consumption

Loguna finds the speed at which your boat uses the least fuel per nautical mile, from your own trips, and shows what that would have meant for your season.

Example from a season with 18 trips

  1. The answer first

Not the table but the sentence: what would one knot less have cost? Loguna works it out from your trips and puts it at the top.

  2. What makes the difference

Litres per nautical mile at each speed, from tank and engine hours. What is estimated is marked as estimated.

  3. The receipt behind every number

€184 per night comes from 66 receipts and 161 nights. Every number carries its source and can be traced back to the photo.

Example from one season

Pick a station: six moments, six answers.

The problem

5 months

Five months of winter, and it’s all gone: what was it with the impeller? Where is the yard’s invoice? What did you want to check before launching?

With Loguna

  • Checklist

Season start with last year’s list, plus what was missing back then.

    1 list

    every year again, nothing forgotten

  • Boat file

Papers, invoices, parts, yard. Everything about the boat in one place.

    1 place

instead of folders, emails and the glovebox

  • Maintenance

Due dates by engine hours, not by gut feeling.

    8 to 12 %

lower maintenance costs by condition instead of calendar

The problem

1 photo

In the evening nobody is in the mood to keep a logbook. Three days later nobody knows where you anchored or how much diesel was left.

With Loguna

  • Logbook

A photo of the instrument, the values are in the book. No typing, no guessing.

    12 values

from one photo: engine hours, tank, voltage, speed

  • Track

Every sea mile, every bay, every harbour. Automatic, even without signal.

    every mile

    recorded, never estimated

  • Catching up

In the evening at anchor or a week later. The time is asked, never invented.

    7 days

later is normal. The book stays clean.

The problem

3 items

What does a night on board really cost? Berth, diesel, dinner ashore. Everyone has an idea, nobody adds it up. And diesel gets dearer every season.

With Loguna

  • Cost per night

Berth, diesel and restaurant added up, per night and per sea mile.

    184 €

  • Consumption

  • Receipts

Photograph the invoice, amount in the book, source attached.

    1 photo

per invoice, never a slip in the glovebox

The problem

5 chats

The crew asks for the photos, friends for the route, the family where you are right now. All scattered across five chats and three phones.

With Loguna

  • SharingBeta

The trip as a page: track, photos, harbours. After the trip, without your home port.

    1 link

  • Crew

Everyone on board writes into the same book. Every entry shows who made it.

  • Places

Bays, harbours and anchorages that suit your draught. With depth, price and wind.

The problem

0 figures

The season is over. What did it cost, per night, per sea mile? What did the boat need, what is due over winter? Without a book it all stays a guess.

With Loguna

  • Season balance

Costs per night, per sea mile and per trip, from receipts instead of gut feeling.

    1 figure

    per night that is right

  • Winter list

What the boat needs over winter, as a list for winter storage. Open items carry over to spring.

    0 surprises

in spring, because the list is made in autumn

  • Proof of value

Every service, every repair documented. The boat you sell one day has a history.

    every job

    with receipt, date and yard

The problem

all trips

A year later: where was the bay with the clear water? Which evening was the one with the dolphins? Paper yellows, photos have no place. Memories need a book.
